Cafeteria

Due to federal regulations, parents must complete an application in order to qualify for free or reduced price lunch.  Please turn this application in to the school cafeteria.

Westwood will provide the “Breakfast Without Charge” program, which allows all students to eat breakfast at school free of charge.  In order for the school to continue to offer the “Breakfast Without Charge” program, a majority of students must participate in the program.  Please encourage all Westwood students to come to school every morning for breakfast.

Breakfast is available in the cafeteria beginning at 7:15 a.m., and concluding at 7:45 a.m.  Students eating breakfast in the cafeteria must allow enough time to eat and be on time for class at 8:00 a.m.  Due to the large number of children eating breakfast and the limited cafeteria space, parents are not allowed in the cafeteria during breakfast hours.  Breakfast menus are issued to each student monthly.

If you choose, you may send a balanced “sack” lunch and students may purchase milk.    Soda/pop is not permitted as a drink with a sack lunch.   MENUS are printed and issued to each student MONTHLY.  The monthly menu will have the activities at Westwood School listed.

NO CHILD is PERMITTED to LEAVE the SCHOOL GROUNDS DURING LUNCH unless PARENT/GUARDIAN  has COMETO the OFFICE and SIGNED the STUDENT OUT and RETURNS the child to school ON TIME for the afternoon classes. Lunch schedules for each grade level are:

Kindergarten - 11:05-11:50     Grade 1 - 11:55-12:40     Grade 2 - 11:35-12:20     Grade 3 - 12:15-1:00

Due to health code regulation, no outside commercially prepared restaurant food may be bought and consumed in the school cafeteria.
